Starting over, or , Everybody else is making money on the Internet, so why can't I.

The Journey Begins - Installment 1



 Ok, so  I wasn't an English major. I bet you figured that out from the title. I have written things that have been published, but that was what seems to have been in another age when dinosaurs still lived.  Well I was kinda published. I was a Sigint Reporter. What's a Sigint Reporter you ask? I'm not sure you have the clearance level at your stage of readership to comprehend, but I will try to make this make sense. I wrote intelligence reports for the man!! Nuff said. Can I prove it, or give you an example of my writing skill. The answer is no. Everything I wrote was classified at the  Cat 2 or Cat 3  Special Intelligence level. Heck I was pretty decent, even got promoted to the position of Senior Sigint Reporter at a Field Station. Ok, that was 3 decades ago, and now I have the urge to write again. This time I am going to write to make me some money, not to protect the vital interests of the United States. I am the second most patriotic man I know and being that General George S. Patton Jr. has passed, I consider it my duty to help keep this country squared away and to make a dime at the same time (just wanted to once in my life include me and General Patton in the same sentence, and now I have).
 Well before I could launch my assault on the internet, and her riches, I had a heart attack. I would like to say it happened from too much partying and hell raising, but the fact of the matter was, I was a type A personality, owned my own very small business, and smoked 3 packs a day for too many years. Well after spending 60 hours in a very fine hospital, seeing a very bright white light once, contemplating my "bucket list" if I got released, and recovering from the stent procedure that opened one of my 100% closed arteries, I decided, what the heck, I have jumped into business many times without knowing much about the business I was getting into. I was convinced, time to roll the dice again.
 That brings us to almost the present time and I am pursueing my assault on the  internet to make my small fortune.
 My plan, and it is still a work in progress, was to create a website that filled a void. Also, I decided I would write a blog that detailed the ups and downs of this website and the success and failures. This is the 1st installment of that web log. Wade@thepollitbureau.com, alias Rebwithacause, the author, intends to update this log every 7-10 days at a minimum. It will hopefully, chronicle the ups and downs, the technical (think SEO, Web design, etc) aspects, and the plain hard work trying to make this enterprise make money. Stay tuned.  Hope you enjoyed the 1st installment , next installment will highlight the beginnings.
